EMER-HEAT-0FF-C001 switch into
the
C00L
position.

setting
is
at
least 3 degrees below the room
emer heat off

temperature.
The air conditioning system should
turn
on within a
few
seconds.
NOTE: 0NGE THE
THERMOSTAT TURNS
OFF
WHEN ltl THE C00t MODE,
A BUITT IN s-MINUTE
DETAY PREVENTS THE SYSTEM FROM
TURNING ON
AGAIN. THIS PROTECTS
THE COMPRESSOR.
NO

Put the EMER-HEAT-OFF-C001
switch into the
0FF
position.
The air conditioning system
should turn off.
4. Put
the EMER-HEAT-0FF-C001switch
into the
HEAT
position.
The
d will be displayed.
5. Press the
A
button until the temoerature
setting is at least 3 degrees above room
emer heat off cool
temperature. The heating system should turn on. The fan may
not turn on immediately, depending on the fan delay built into
the furnace.
N0TE: lf HP is selected, the heat will not come on until the 5 minute
short cycle
protection
has expired.
6. Put the EMER-HEAT-0FF-C001 switch into the
EMER
position.
The 0
'
will be displayed.
7.
Press the A button until the temDerature
setting is at least 3 degrees above room
emer heat
off cool
temperature. The secondary heating system
should
turn on.
NOTE: The
compressor
will not
turn
when in
emergency
heat mode.
Put the EMER-HEAT-OFF-Co01 switch into the
OFF
position.
The heating system
should
turn
off.
The
fan mav continue
to run for
a short
oeriod of time.

Mounting Holes
HP OPTION SWITCH
Heat
pump
switch.
Tap
plastic
anchors into
the wall.
Align base with
plastic
anchors and
feed wires through
opening
(see
Figure
3).
Secure base
to wall
with supplied screws.
Connect
wires to terminal strip. Refer to wiring
diagrams
on
page
5.
Make sure wire connections are
secure.
Place Electric/Gas switch into either the ELEC or GAS
position
depending on the type of furnace
(see
Figure 3).
Place the HP option switch into either the N0N_HP or HP
position
depending on the type
of
system
you
are using
(see
Figure 3). Use
the HP
position
for heat
pumps
0NLY Use the NON_HP setting for
everything else.
Replace cover 0n thermostat by snapping into
place.
Turn on oower to svstem. Test thermostat as described in
the
section To Test Thermostat.
